Bridge Program Bridge Application Bridge Information Meeting
"Bridge" is a class that is especially for children that just need a little extra time before going to kindergarten. These children are all 5 years old by August 31st and have completed
pre-k.
Our Bridge program allows children to grow and develop in the following areas:
- Cognitive
- Academic
- Physical
- Emotional/Social
- Spiritual
Using a curriculum based on a study of countries and cultures “Around the World”, our Bridge
class uses “contracts” to help children develop independence skills in preparation of kindergarten. The Bridge class has been described as a gift of “time” to allow a child the opportunity to mature. In addition to weekly Music, Motor, Science and Spanish classes, our Bridge class also attends Chapel every Wednesday. Highlights also include field trips to restaurants, plays, museums and more to coincide with their units of study.
The teacher: child ratio is 1:8 with a maximum class size of 16 children.
